We first discovered Kukui Nut Oil while on holiday in Hawaii a few years ago while on a tour at popular Hawaiian nature reserve, Kualoa Ranch.

The tour guide pointed out the Kukui Nut Tree and explained that the oil from the kukui nut is incredibly moisturizing. As a result, it’s used by locals to protect it from everything from sun and salt water damage (sun burn and wind burn) to nappy rash in infants.

Scott purchased a bottle of Kukui Oil from a local shop later that day and we all used it throughout our holiday. Our skin looked and felt amazing all holiday long!

4 reasons why skin loves Kukui Nut Oil

Fast forward a couple of years later and following your requests for a range of body oils to compliment our face oils, Bettyquette Body Oils were launched.

As soon as we began to develep our body oils, we both knew Kukui Nut Oil needed to be a key ingredient in all three blends.

Here’s why:

1. Kukui Nut Oil absorbs quickly into the skin

This leaves your skin looking and feeling super hydrated with no greasy residue left behind.

2. It’s packed full of essential fatty acids

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are crucial when it comes to keeping skin hydrated, plump and youtful looking. Who wouldn’t say no to that?!

3. It’s odourless

If there’s one thing we strive for with our products, it’s to keep an overpowering smell out of them. There really is nothing worse than applying products that stink! Fortunately Kukui Nut Oil is virtually odorless, making it the perfect natural ingredient for all three of our body oils.

4. Kukui Nut Oil is a natural skin soother and smoother

Sourced from the nut itself and like all of our ingredients, Kukui Nut Oil is a natural oil.  Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, Kukui Nut Oil has been known to soothe and heal skin from wounds, itchy skin, psoriasis and eczema.

Have you tried any of our body oils? Which blend is your fave?
